Easy Ways To Get The Perfect Smile

January 9, 2018

Your smile is one of the most noticeable things about you and it can seriously affect the way that you look. Regardless of how long you spend on your morning beauty routine, if you’ve got bad teeth, it’s not worth it. Luckily, you don’t need to spend loads of money on expensive caps or false teeth to get that perfect smile. Just try one of these simple ways to improve your smile right away.

Straighten Them

Having crooked teeth is one of the most common problems that people have but most adults don’t want to get a pair of clunky braces that make them look like a teenager again, but that’s not the only solution these days. Any good dentist will be able to fit you with far more discreet braces and retainers that people won’t be able to notice. The results are amazing and you’ll have perfectly straight teeth in no time.

Watch What You Eat

If you’ve got dull, stained teeth it’s probably an issue with your diet. Anything like red wine, coffee, cola and anything else with a dark colour is going to stain your teeth. The general rule is, if it’s got a dark colour, it isn’t good for white teeth. That doesn’t mean you need to cut all of these things out, just be aware of how much you’re having and think about brushing your teeth after eating or drinking anything that you think will stain your teeth.

Change Your Toothbrush

When was the last time you got a new toothbrush? Can you even remember? Don’t worry, most of us are guilty of not changing them regularly, and hardly anybody realizes how often you’re supposed to get a new one, or at least change the head on your electric toothbrush. I would have guessed about once a year but dentists actually recommend a new one every two to three months, which most people definitely aren’t doing. The reason being that if you’re using an old toothbrush, you’re just transferring bacteria back into your mouth when you use it. I’m guessing you’re probably well overdue for a new one.

Crunchy Food

You wouldn’t think that you could clean your teeth by eating but you can. Any crunchy foods are actually really good for your teeth, not including sweets of course. Apples are the best one and they’re nature’s toothbrush but anything with a bit of bite like carrots, celery or even popcorn can do your teeth some good. Whenever you eat them, they help to strip plaque and bacteria from your teeth so it’s always best to save them for the end of the meal.

Cider Vinegar

A great natural remedy to help you keep your teeth in good health is rinsing your mouth out with cider vinegar. It sounds a bit odd but it’s great for cleaning bacteria from your teeth as well as whitening them. Just rinse your mouth out with cider vinegar in the morning and then brush your teeth as usual.

You only get one chance with your teeth, so make sure that you start looking after them before it’s too late.
