The Lace Factor: Tops You Need This Summer

May 22, 2016
I love Summer clothing and sometimes it’s difficult finding the perfect top. I like to wear pastel colours or whites; they provide a fresh feel to your wardrobe and it tends to make you look more radiant in the sun (if we get any in the UK). I’ve collected a few lightly coloured tops over the past year which are perfect for this season and decided to share them with all of you. I’ve noticed that lace is in at the moment and it’s one of my favourite materials. So exciting!
Personally, I can be a fussy clothes shopper. I prefer to save my money rather than spend as places such as Topshop and River Island can be on the pricey side. These three tops are not only affordable but perfect for any occasion which is why I fell in love with them.
The Lacey Turtleneck
Firstly, we come to this beautiful lace top which I bought for a party a little while ago. It’s slightly cropped with a scallop cut off and looks pretty if teamed with a skater skirt. I prefer to dress this item up, purely for the fact that it’s quite a statement piece. The turtleneck means you don’t need to worry about needing jewellery which is certainly a pro! However, if you wear a white vest underneath and pair with some jeans, it’ll look just as good, especially for a shopping trip! Lace is in every fashion shop I walk into right now and it provides a very feminine look. I always feel more elegant in lace so it’s a need if you’re a lace lover like me!
The Pointelle Top
If you’re ever in need of a simple everyday Tee, then H&M is the one. For just £7.99 I managed to grab this lovely little piece. It’s made from soft cotton which provides comfort and has short capped sleeves. This would be great at the beach, you can either wear a light coloured bra underneath or a swimsuit. This is one of those items that you can just throw on and it looks great. I usually pair this little number with shorts but it’s perfect how practical it is!
The Strappy Crochet Top
This top screams festival to me and is perfect if you’re not comfortable with full on Crochet. With adorable button detailing, elasticated back and removable straps you can wear this and not worry about those annoying tan lines! The Crochet effect at the bottom is gorgeous and gives me that sunshiny feel. There are so many subtle aspects to this strappy top; it’s so dainty and gorgeous. I managed to grab this at George, Asda a few months back so keep your eyes peeled as they occasionally have some real beauties in store!
So there you have it, some cute little items to refresh your wardrobe this Summer. There are so many shops that sell tops like this and you don’t have to pay some of the extortionate price tags! Keep your eyes peeled and let me know in the comments below what you think.
Lots of love,
Hope x
