The Sloane Bros Experience
Anything sweet and I’ll be there which is why I was delighted when Sloane Brothers Frozen Yogurt Co. wanted us to sample their delicious treats. Sloane Bros are a family business who developed a dessert parlour with the aim of providing mouthwatering, healthy frozen yoghurt which is sourced from the best British suppliers and dairies. Lewis and I visited the stand which is located in Nottingham in the Intu Victoria Centre and was drooling over the selection of toppings. From a luscious rainbow of fruit to gooey brownies and succulent sauces.
There are three steps to choosing your dream delicacy, first of all, you select your fat-free flavour, either strawberry, chocolate, dulce de leche or caramel. You then go onto choosing your size from small to medium to large. Finally, you go crazy with those toppings Sprinkles, chocolate, biscuit and strawberries? Yes, please!
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a member of staff who was extremely friendly and the set up caught my eye. The stand is more of a pop-up-shop but the logo is great, and the toppings are presented neatly and are extremely tempting! As we all know, I love chocolate of any kind, so the fruit was definitely out of the equation. Why would I visit to be healthy? I’ve always preferred general ice cream to frozen yoghurt because it’s always come across as dull to me, but I went for the caramel flavour. The hardest part? TOPPINGS. Popcorn, bourbons, jammie dodgers, pink wafers, peanut buttery goodness! The list is endless.
After being torn, I decided on the peanut butter brownie, toffee popcorn and party rings which were drenched with chocolate sauce as a finishing touch. (Sloane Bros aren’t tight on toppings which is a double bonus) Really, the pictures can do all of the talking because it just looks so beautiful. The frozen yoghurt was perfection, completely creamy and tasted just as good as general ice cream. The brownie was so chocolatey which was covered with crunchy nuts and melted in your mouth. The party rings just gave me a blast from the past, I felt like I was at a kids party! Toffee popcorn? Well, you can’t say no to that!
Lewis, on the other hand, played it safe and went for the natural frozen yoghurt flavour (BORING!). Along with jammie dodgers, brownie and jaffa cakes. Of course, this was slathered in strawberry sauce. The yoghurt was creamy and rich but also very filling. We must have tempted those who were sitting near us because I found them all queueing to get their own pot. The fact that the cups are stacked so high with loads of goodies tucked into them makes them that extra appealing.
These sundaes are bursting with flavour, and we’d overall give them a 9.5/10. Sloane Bros is the place to go if you’re craving something sweet, a real gem for summer time. Not only are these low calorie for those of you who are fitness fanatics but the topping selection will frequently change so you can never get bored. If you thought that couldn’t get any better then guess what? This mouthwatering icy treat is also available in pancakes, on waffles and smoothies!
Thanks to Sloane Brothers for letting myself and Lewis have a lovely experience!
