September Is The New January: Kick Start Those Failed Resolutions Now

September 8, 2017

September is for many the beginning of a new school year. In fact, even if you’re not going back to school, you can’t erase the memory of decades of first days at school in September – or August, depending on which part of the country you live. So, it comes as a surprise to no one that September is the perfect time for self-evaluation and reflection. Remember all those January resolutions you took? How many have you kept? A handful? One? None? It’s not too late to start and make the most of the wind of renewal; that blows in our society in the back-to-school season. In fact, you still have time to make significant changes before the festive season comes and hits us with a brand new year at the end of it. Yes, we may be quite far into 2017, but there’s still plenty of time before 2018! And who knows? By then, you might have embraced most of your failed resolutions of the past January.

Time to get your hand on new makeup

If you decided to make the most of your beauty care this year and failed to try anything new, now is the perfect time to be adventurous. Why not let a beauty agent from your favourite skin and beauty care shop help you with discovering new makeup products? In fact, Mac has recently launched new lip products , Dazzleglass, a glitter gloss that shines through the night in no less than 16 shades and with vanilla aroma. Your back-to-school look gives you the perfect excuse to try it out! Or, if you haven’t done it yet, you should get yourself a seat at an eyeliner training course. There’s nothing worse than spending hours to get the right wing line!

What happened to your weight loss plan?

If you’ve promised yourself to lose weight this year and have not managed to stick to any diet or fitness plan, you might want to look for a kick start solution, such as reading on the Shake That Weight diet. Wafflemama has tried the diet for us, and she’s positive: It works, even though she’s taken a week off the four-week trial. It’s not a miracle solution, but it helps you to develop healthy eating habits – yes, that means goodbye doughnuts – so that you can gradually get rid of junk food without experiencing any nasty craving.

So you’ve decided to learn something new?

What if you decided to learn something new this year and still haven’t? It’s not too late; it’s only September. If you want to do yourself a favour, you could learn a foreign language – speaking a foreign language is a winning skill on any CV. Don’t think you’ve got no time for it. Check out this review on Duolingo, instead. Duolingo is a free app that is targeted at English speakers and help you learn over 10 foreign languages. But more importantly, it does it proactively, intuitively and playfully, so that it never feels like learning. And you could be all Feliz Navidad at Christmas time!

Don’t cry over failed resolutions. You still have plenty of time to start something positive. You might not be achieving the results you dreamed of last January, but a little step in the right direction is better than no step at all.

Hope x
