Facial Washes For Combination Skin

January 7, 2017
Depressing January is one of those months where you feel deflated after Christmas, and everything just isn’t great. Your makeup never goes right, you’re bored of your clothes and your skin is dry and spotty at the same time which is causing severe confusion. Having combination skin is the worst, every product on the market seems to be your worst enemy and the dry patches on your forehead are becoming bigger while your nose is shiny as ever.
I love washing my face, it feels so refreshing and can make your mood instantly increase, but not every face wash out there is good. I can’t use the milky, creamy kind because that’s acne central but certain soaps make my skin dehydrated and uncomfortable. Well combination girlies, I’m here to save the day as these 3 facial washes have saved my life. Please welcome Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarity, Benefit’s Foamingly Clean Facial Wash and Clinique’s Liquid Facial Soap.

Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarity

Soap & Glory will forever be a girl’s best friend. Not only is it affordable and smells lush, it actually works! (I can guarantee you got at least one S&G set for Christmas, yaaas!) This 3-1 facial soap is a daily detox which is packed with vitamin C and is designed to smooth and purify the skin. The results? The feeling of fresh and healthy skin with no residue! This life-saver is designed for us combination girls, so what are you waiting for? For the RRP of £8 from Boots and the bottle being 350ml, it’s the most affordable gem on the market. The soft scrub beads aren’t too harsh on skin and remove that extra dirt that is hidden deep in those pores. The gel formula means goodbye antioxidants!

Benefit’s Foamingly Clean Facial Wash

Benefit has some great makeup, so I was curious to try out their facial wash, and I’m safe to say it’s one of the best I’ve used. The only downfall with this product is that it’s pricey at £17.50 and the design of the tube can make it difficult for the product to come out. A little goes a long way with this soap and foams up amazingly (okay, hence the name), not only does it make my skin feel beautifully soft but it also removes makeup and impurities so you can chuck those wipes away! Sensitive skin? No problem, Benefit is never harsh on skin and the dry patches will be no longer existent with moisture lock in technology. Hoorah!

Clinique’s Liquid Facial Soap

Clinique is the queen of skincare, and when you purchase the brand, you already know that you’re gonna love it. I was surprised to discover that this product is cheaper than Benefit at £16.50. (I have the mini but the 100ml is £16.50) The liquid cleanses without stripping your face and preps the skin if you’re an exfoliating kind of gal. The translucent runny product foams up after you’ve slapped it on and feels like a silky formula. This product is proven to clear up breakouts and makes skin naturally glow without the oily sheen. Wake up feeling refreshed in the mornings!
Combination skin, we can finally deal with you!
